UFF bomb explodes in Ulster
Clear up operation after a republican bomb explodes near courthouse in Straban wrecking nearby houses and shops. Firecrews and workmen involved in clear up. Night scenes of rioting, police in streets. Security forces on on full alert
after the worst Loyalist civil unrest for 10 years. The violence
followed the funeral of Ulster Volunteer Force Brian McCallum
who was killed by a grenade he was carrying at a parade last
weekend. Earlier a courthouse in Strabane was badly damaged by
a bomb left in a van but nobody was hurt.
