Sir John Gielgud interviewed at reopened Queen's Theatre, London
London: Queen's Theatre: re-opened with Sir John Gielgud in
'Ages of Man': ext Queen's theatre with sign for play above:
Sir John Gielgud interview by Lynne Reid-Banks: he's been at Queen's
before in management in '38/'39: also played there for 9 months in
'Dear Octopus': theatre sites in West End are valuable and shops
and offices can pay enormous sums for them: no new theatres are
being built or they are being pulled down: but theatre fights it's
way through: other mediums still need stage actors because of
their basic training: hopes this will last for his lifetime.
