Beveridge Report on the Welfare State- 7 Dec 1942: Shows groups of men talking on street to illustrate unemployment. Children playing on street, going to school in uniform and shots of public school and Oxford university as narrator says "Post war children must have far better educational facilities that they have now- the path from elementary education to public school and beyond that must be open to all who are mentally equipped to profit by it". Shots of hospital ward and surgeon at work under narration "The voluntary hospital and the expensive nursing home are not enough to maintain this nation in good health".
