President Ronald Reagan’s State of the Union address
Reagan celebrates his 74th birthday by making a State of the Union address on abortion and SDI: Shows Reagan at podium in Capitol Hill, Washington. Tip O'Neill presents Reagan. Reagan says "Abortion is either the taking of a human life or it is'nt and if it is, and medical technology is increasingly showing it is, it must be stopped". Reagan speaks( George Bush in the bgd) on SDI "I believe theres a better way of eliminating the threat of nuclear war. It is a Strategic Defence Initiative aimed ultimately at finding a non nuclear defence against ballistic missiles. It's the most hopeful possibility of the nuclear age..". Audience sing Happy Birthday, clap and Reagan smiles.
