President Reagan denies knowing whereabouts of ‘Irangate’ profits
Reagan addresses a group of political cartoonists and denies he knew where the profits from the Iranian arms sales went: Shows Reagan at mikes next to large cartoon of himself to which he points and says clumsily "I tried everything I can to get my hair to stand up the way you picture it". Reagan begins to write cartoon but turns around and says " I forgot what I was going to say". On Irangate Reagan says "I did not know that there was any excess money until that day; I'm still waiting to know where did that money go”.
