Man ‘mentally trapped’ by epilepsy drug
An extraordinary story emerged today of how a man spent almost his entire life mentally trapped by a drug used to treat his epilepsy. Doctors believed Nick Pierce was mentally handicapped - but it has emerged his learning disabilities had actually been caused by a rare reaction to the drug he had been given. Nick has since passed a GCSE and is taking a creative writing course.
