I consider the actions of Guy Burgess (Soviet spy) deplorable...
on the subject of friendship I'd prefer to say as little as
possible because it's very complicated - (cutaway of film
cameramen at work) - can't shed any light on disappearance
of Burgess and Maclean - I'm precluded from revealing
information by Official Secrets Act, and Burgess-Maclean
affair has raised issues of great delicacy in the sphere of
international affairs. I left the service some four years
ago and have no way of knowing that words of mine, perhaps
lifted from context.. wouldn't severely prejudice or damage
the government in its conduct of international affairs..

keep silent because efficiency of our security services can
