Jonathan Aitken guilty of perjury, perverting course of justice
Tonight Jonathan Aitken is behind bars, beginning an 18 month sentence for perjury and perverting the course of justice. Passing sentence the judge told him that he had entangled himself in a web of deceit which he had woven for years.
