Japanese foreign minister questioned on product copying
London: LAP: Japanese Foreign Minister Mr Fujiyama off
plane and greeted by Selwyn Lloyd: Mr Fujiyama interview by
Robin Day: asked about Japanese practice of copying British
designs and labels: replies through interpreter he believes
situation is greatly improved now: Robin Day shows him packet
of British ball-bearings and an almost identical packet made in
Japan: interpreter thinks "this is out of order": goes on to talk
about Robin Day's trechery: withdraws it and changes it
discourtesy: Robin Day continues questioning asking if the
Japanese Govt are going to pass legislation to prevent copying.
