Whilst Irish premier Albert Reynolds meets with Sinn Fein leader Gerry Adams the reverand Ian Paisley meets Prime Minister John Major at downing street to condem any dealings between the republicans and the british government. The meeting lasts ten minutes as Paisley refuses to answer the PM on trusting his word.
