Hollywood Remembers Frank Sinatra
Whilst not exactly a saint and always courting controversy, Frank Sinatra was always a man of principle. The son of an Italian immigrant, he won a radio competition, which led to spots with the Harry James and Tommy Dorsey bands.
Going solo in the 1940s he became an idol to swooning bobby-soxers across America. The scrawny baritone had a silken charm all of his own, which earned him the title, "The Voice". A true celebrity, he surrounded himself with glamorous women and famously made numerous comebacks until his death in 1998.
