Farmer forced to destroy GM trial crops
There's been an unexpected new twist in the controversy over genetically modified food. The farmer running Britain's first large scale trial of GM crops has destroyed the entire project on the orders of the land's owners who are opposed to GM technology. The farm manager called the decision "daft".
