Conservative Party leadership campaign launch
Prime Minister John Major has launches his
campaign for leadership of the Conservative Party in a rousing
speech to constituency Party chairpersons. Norman Lamont would
not comment although it is thought that he could be a candidate
and challenger to John Major. Another uncertain element is John
Redwood who is also reluctant to comment.
