The Beatles: A Long and Winding Road 1940-1958

This is the beginning of the Beatles story, told by the people who knew them in those early formative years.

John's sister, Julia Baird, breaks her silence in an exclusive interview, and John's original group The Quarry Men tell the story of how the greatest song writing team of the 20th century met at a church social function.

From the long hard post-war period, to the early days of Rock 'n' Roll, Liverpool was the springboard for the greatest cultural and musical revolution the world has ever known.
