Hollywood Remembers Warren Beatty

Shirley Maclaine's little brother Warren Beatty was born in 1937. Their mother a drama coach, they started acting as children in amateur productions.

Beatty's first film was Splendor in the Grass (1961) opposite Natalie Wood, and he rapidly became a Hollywood heartthrob. His virile looks and roguish charm soon earned him one of his finest roles alongside Faye Dunaway in Bonnie and Clyde (1967), which he also co-produced.In 1981 Beatty won the Oscar for best director for Reds. Dick Tracy (1990) brought Beatty kudos once again as producer, director and star. It was hailed for its slick art deco look.
