President Clinton visit to UK
Bill Clinton visits Northern Ireland, becoming the first American President to do so. He rushed around Belfast and Londonderry, meeting both Loyalists and Nationalists. He switched on the Christmas lights in Belfast, and drew massive crowds where ever he went.
Washington DC;White house: President Clinton gives televised address admitting that he had a relationship with Monica Lewinsky that 'I must take complete responsibility for all my actions, public and private, indeed I did have a relationship with miss Lewinsky that was not appropriate, in fact it was wrong.'
