Britain and France sign a pact to finance a $300.000.000 supersonic jet that will cross the Atlantic between breakfast and lunch. It will carry 100 passengers and fly 1,400 m.p.h. at an altitude of 40,000 feet.
Shown only as a model at this stage, this is a plane that will be known as the Concorde.
