Munich Olympics Hijack 1972
The 1972 Olympics were held in Munich, West Germany.
The games were marred when a group of eight Black September Terrorists broke into the Olympic Village and took eleven Israeli athletes hostage in their apartment. Two were killed in the apartment and the rest were killed after a rescue attempt went wrong at the military airport of Furstenfeldbruck.
