Hindenburg Disaster - Zeppelin Crashes in Flames 1937
An unforgetable scene of horror is recorded as the zeppelin Hindenburg, Germany's "pride of skies", explodes just prior to docking in Lakehurst, New Jersey, after a trans-Atlantic flight. A burst of flame suddenly engulfs the stern of dirigible and almost instantly transforms the entire airship into a blazing inferno. Dozens of passengers are burned to death and scores of others badly injured. It is an air disaster that shocks the world.
