Hollywood Couples: Fernando Lamas and Arlene Dahl
Arlene Dahl was a ravishing redhead, a former model and copywriter, she was born in 1924 of Norwegian extraction. Making it to Broadway in 1945, she became the Rheingold beer girl in 1946 and was signed by a Hollywood studio.
Fernando Lamas was Argentinian, a leading man in Hollywood from 1950, imported by MGM for typecast Latin Lover roles appearing predominantly in musicals and comedies. He married his third wife Arlene Dahl in 1954. Their son, actor Lorenzo Lamas, was born in 1958. Fernando Lamas married Esther Williams in 1967.
