Churchill Says A-Bomb Checks Reds, 1949

Britain's wartime Prime Minister, Winston Churchill, is invitedĀ  to speak at the mid-century convocation of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and 14,000 people fill Boston Gardens to hear him.

Warning of Soviet aggression, Churchill says that the atomic bomb in US hands has been the sole deterrent to Communist expansion over Western Europe.
