Eichmann Tried For War Crimes, 1961
In Jerusalem, the trial of Adolf Eichmann begins, after his capture in Argentina following 15 years in hiding.
Indicted on 15 counts of crimes against humanity including the annihilation of millions of Jews in Nazi death camps. Eichmann is icily impassive as charges are read citing his responsibility for the Nazi plan for the physical extermination of the Jews, known as the "Final Solution".
